Long before Israel became a state, those who immigrated formed agricultural communities called Kibbutzim. These were intended to be totally communal; the proceeds of the farm were distributed strictly on need. Later, it was found, when the incentive of individual prosperity was added, new, generally more successful farms were formed on capitalistic principles. These they called Moshavim. This 11" x 14" painting commemorating Israel's agricultural history is reproduced on 100-year archival paper on almost indestructible styrene board. Ready to frame with stock frames from any mass retailer--custom framing not needed.
